Acceptable Use Policy

This policy applies to everyone who uses Cosmix, on every platform we offer it: the mobile apps, the web app, and this website. It applies to your profile, your photos, your messages, and anything else you send, upload, or link to.
Breaking this policy is a breach of our Terms of Service. We enforce it on our own initiative and on reports from users, and enforcement does not depend on whether a law was broken.
1. You must be 18 or older
Cosmix is an adult platform. You must be at least 18 years old to hold an account. Our Child Safety Standards Policy covers this in full.
2. Prohibited conduct and content
Human trafficking and commercial sexual services
You may not use Cosmix to advertise, solicit, arrange, facilitate, or pay for commercial sexual services, escorting, or prostitution. You may not engage in human trafficking, forced labor, or debt bondage, recruit or transport any person for those purposes, or use Cosmix to contact, control, or advertise a person being exploited. This applies whether or not the activity is legal where you are.
Sexual exploitation and coercion
You may not sexually exploit, coerce, or extort any person. This includes sextortion, pressuring or manipulating anyone into sexual activity or into producing sexual content, and sharing or threatening to share intimate images of anyone without their consent. It includes recording or distributing any sexual content without the consent of everyone in it.
Minors
We have zero tolerance for anything involving a minor in a sexual context. You may not create, request, share, or link to child sexual abuse material (CSAM). You may not groom, solicit, or sexualize any person under 18, or use Cosmix to make contact with a minor. You may not hold an account if you are under 18, or create one on behalf of someone who is.
Sexual violence
You may not post, send, request, or promote content that depicts, encourages, or glorifies rape, sexual assault, or any non-consensual sexual act, whether real or simulated.
Sexually explicit content
Cosmix is not a platform for sexual content. You may not post or send nudity, pornography, or sexually explicit imagery in your profile, your photos, or your messages, and you may not link to it or offer it elsewhere.
Harassment, threats, and hate
You may not harass, stalk, threaten, defame, or intimidate anyone. You may not attack or degrade a person or group on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, age, sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation, and you may not promote or celebrate violent extremism or terrorism.
Fraud, illegal goods, and deception
You may not use Cosmix to defraud anyone, including romance fraud, investment or cryptocurrency solicitation, and phishing. You may not sell or arrange the sale of illegal drugs, weapons, or stolen goods. You may not impersonate another person or misrepresent who you are.
Interfering with the service
You may not scrape, mine, or run automated systems against Cosmix, create accounts in bulk, evade a ban, or attempt to breach or disrupt our systems.
3. What we do about it
We remove content that breaks this policy and we permanently ban the accounts behind it. We act on reports within 24 hours.
Where content or conduct involves a minor, we report it to the appropriate law enforcement authorities and to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), and we preserve the account and its contents for that purpose. We report other unlawful conduct to law enforcement where we judge it warranted or where the law requires it.
A ban is permanent, and evading one is itself a violation of this policy.
4. How to report something
In the app is fastest. Use the Report control on a person's profile card or in your conversation with them and pick the reason that fits. Reports come to our moderation team with the account attached. You can also block anyone from the same places, which removes them from your feed and your conversations immediately.
By email, write to safety@cosmixpairing.com. Reports about a minor are prioritized.
If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. We cannot dispatch help.
5. Changes
We update this policy as new patterns of abuse appear. The current version is always the one posted here, and the date at the top is when it last changed.
